BONES is an ongoing series by Beata Maria Rzepecka exploring the human body at the intersection of art, science, technology and medicine.
Inspired by the intricate architecture of bone and the hidden structures that sustain human life, the works transform skeletal forms into imagined organic worlds. Bone-like networks intertwine with flowers, gardens and celestial forms, creating a visual dialogue between strength and fragility, growth and decay, vulnerability and resilience.
The series developed from Beata Maria’s exploration of osteoporosis and women’s bone health, informed by medical imagery and lived experience. Rather than presenting the skeleton purely as anatomy, BONES reimagines it as a living architecture — a structure that connects us all while remaining extraordinarily complex and vulnerable.
Each limited-edition artwork is conceived as a highly detailed composition in which biological structures merge with nature, inviting closer contemplation of the body and the extraordinary systems beneath its surface.
