Beata Maria Rzepecka is a British visual artist, curator and researcher based in London. Her multidisciplinary practice operates at the intersection of art, science, technology and philosophy, exploring questions of human existence, perception, nature, cultural memory and the future.
Her interest in the relationship between art and medicine began during her postgraduate studies at Goldsmiths, University of London, where she completed an MA in Image and Communication in 2011. Since then, her practice has developed across photography, electronic graphics, animation, installation, AI, medical imagery and emerging holographic technologies.
Her ongoing BONES series approaches the human body as a living, complex and vulnerable system. Drawing upon bone architecture, medical imaging, organic structures and lived experience, the works explore the relationship between fragility and resilience, biology and beauty. The project also seeks to create greater awareness and conversation around osteoporosis and women’s bone health.
Alongside BONES, Rzepecka is developing CIVILISATION, a body of work that expands her investigation from the architecture of the human body to the structures created by humanity — exploring cities, cultural heritage, nature, technology and possible futures. Together, the two series move between the microscopic and the monumental, examining what we inherit, what sustains us and what we leave behind.
Her work has been presented in a wide range of exhibitions and science festivals, including collaborations with Queen Mary University of London and charitable initiatives with Guy's and St Thomas' Charity. Her installations have engaged audiences across London, captivating visitors through an innovative fusion of interactivity and artistic expression. The installation Universal Heartbeat was reviewed in The Pharmaceutical Journal, published by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society. In 2024, Lucid Dreams was featured in Personal Structures during the Venice Biennale. BONES, the latest series of holographic art, has been exhibited twice in 2026 in collaboration with Hilton, and will be presented at Venture Café London this September.
Beata Maria is also the founder of Gabriel Fine Arts, established in London in 2014, through which she has spent more than a decade supporting international artists, curating exhibitions and developing interdisciplinary cultural collaborations.
